Emendamento contro modelle anoressiche in Francia / Law against anorexia in France
Passerelle e servizi fotografici di moda vietati alle modelle troppo magre e multe salatissime per le agenzie che non rispettano la legge. Succede in Francia, la capitale dello stile, e si tratta di un segnale davvero forte: “l’esercizio dell’attività di modella è vietata a tutte le persone il cui indice di massa corporea è inferiore a livelli definiti, su indicazione dell’Alta autorità di sanità, da ordinanza dei ministri della Salute e del Lavoro”. L’obiettivo? Dare un freno all’esaltazione della magrezza sulle passerelle per contrastare l’anoressia. Il progetto di legge sarà votato il 14 aprile. …la modella australiana Stefania Ferrario, testimonial del marchio di lingerie di Dita Von Teese, ha diffuso una sua foto con il messaggio “Sono una modella” scritto sul ventre e l’hashtag #droptheplus. Stanca di essere etichettata come plus size, la Ferrario ha dichiarato: “sono una modella, PUNTO. Sfortunatamente nell’industria della moda se indossate taglie al di sopra della taglia 40 siete considerate plus size, per questo vengo spesso etichettata come modella ‘plus size’. Trovo che questo NON sia incoraggiante. […] Facciamo in modo che ci siano modelle di TUTTE le forme, taglie ed etnie e lasciamo cadere le etichette fuorvianti. Io NON sono orgogliosa di essere chiamata ‘plus’, ma SONO orgogliosa di essere chiamata ‘modella’, questa è la mia professione“. Liberarsi dagli stereotipi significa abbattere le etichette, anche quella curvy. / …the Australian model Stefania Ferrario, Dita Von Teese’s lingerie brand testimonial, has shared a photo of herself with the message “I am a model” written on her belly and the hashtag #droptheplus. Ferrario said: “I am a model, STOP. Unfortunately in the fashion industry if you don’t weare skinny size, you are considered plus size, for this I am often labeled as a model ‘ plus size ‘ . Così, Rachel Hollis ha postato una foto in bikini con il messaggio “Indosso un bikini perché sono orgogliosa del mio corpo e di ogni segno che porta“. Risultato? La foto è diventata virale e moltissime donne da tutto il mondo hanno postato le proprie foto in bikini con orgoglio, usando l’hashtag #realandchic. Un piccolo movimento che ha dimostrato quanto sia importante e persino chic allontanarsi dagli stereotipi e affermare “questo è il mio corpo e ne vado fiera”.
